The camp started on Friday, July 10, 2009, when the first members of our club arrived to Mala Kapela. The members of the Croatian army joined, as they volunteered two large tents for the expedition. One of the tents served as living and dining room, and the other for our equipment. On that day the firemen from Brinje brought water tanks for washing, desks and chairs. The "Toi Toi" company delivered chemical toilettes.

During the two weeks of the expedition, there were almost 50 speleologists from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary, and each and every one of them gave their contribution to the successes we achieved. Our camp chef Mimi, the camp leader Hrvoje Dragušica – Dragi (Darling) should be pointed out, as well as the support we got from the Brinje municipality and the local institutions: primary school “Luka Perković”, forest management Brinje, and fire department of Brinje.

The initial researches were directed up the river, that is, to the, until then, known second siphon behind the channel of Tihi, which nobody had ever tried to dive through before…

After the first day, and the second siphon dived through, the third siphon was dived through in the following days. New metres of the channel were explored and behind the third siphon there is, for the time being, an impassable obstacle. For further research, from that last channel one should climb on into the channel that seems like it continues. This is left for further actions, and the entire space explored so far was surveyed and mapped.

The twelve days at Kapela and in Rokina passed very quickly and our expedition should move to the river Zrmanja near Obrovac. But not before we did something we intended to, and showed our respect to the Rokina bezdana...

The Čudinka cave is not a harmless object either and the transport of equipment was not easy. Especially due to the fact that everyone had to wear diving suits in order to endure the cold water we had to pass through. Apart from that, the diving equipment was carried for the diving performed by Tihi and Alan on that day. 

As it is shown in the photo, there was another birthday party at the expedition. At Rokina the birthday boy was Andras Tegzes from the Pronatura club from Pecz, and at Zrmanja it was our president and the leader of the expedition, Tihomir Kovačević - Tihi.
